Which pier to use (North vs South)

Tomari Port has three key spots: the Tomarin building (where ticket counters are), the North Pier on the building's north side, and the South Pier directly in front of the building. Each vessel sails from a different pier — check before you go.

Important: It takes about 10 minutes on foot from the Tomarin building to the North Pier. If your vessel sails from the North Pier, factor in the walk after picking up your ticket.

North Pier

About 10 minutes on foot from the Tomarin building.

South Pier (in front of Tomarin)

Boards directly in front of the Tomarin building. No walk required.

Day-of flow

  1. 1. Reach the Tomarin building — about 10 minutes on foot from Miebashi Station on the Yui Rail, or about 10 minutes by bus from Naha Bus Terminal. By car, paid parking is available beneath Tomarin (often fills up).
  2. 2. Visit the appropriate ticket counter inside Tomarin and present your reservation number to receive your ticket. Whether booked online or by phone, tickets are issued at the counter on the day of sailing.
  3. 3. If your sailing departs from the North Pier, walk about 10 minutes from the building. If it departs from the South Pier (Ferry Zamami to Zamami / Aka), the boarding point is directly in front of the building.
  4. 4. Board by the departure time. Boarding deadlines vary by vessel — check the 'Reservation & Ticketing' section of each island page for the specific rule.
