Finding the bus stop
For Yanbaru Express buses toward Churaumi and the Chatan Liner, board on the Tomarin main-building side. For local buses, check each departure’s boarding location and route in the results above.

After getting off the bus
American Village is an area of several buildings. Depot Island occupies part of its seafront side. Set your first shop or venue as the destination for the walk from the bus stop.
Depot Island’s official guide gives a walk of about 5 minutes from Kuwae. The distance from Mihama American Village Entrance depends on the shop you are visiting.

Walk from Chatan GatewayPlanning your time there
After arriving, explore the shops or seafront and choose where to eat. Check the route back to the return stop on a map so you can allow time for the walk.
A round trip using only the Chatan Liner will not let you stay into the night. Check the local buses back before reserving dinner or an activity.
Returning to Naha / Tomarin
Board at Chatan Gateway and get off at Tomarin-mae. On departures from Chatan, Tomarin-mae is for drop-off only. Check the last departure in the planner above.
Go to the Naha-bound side of Mihama American Village Entrance or another suitable stop and choose a bus that stops at Tomari Takahashi. Check the route via Makishi or Kumoji and the arrival stop, as well as the route number.
If you are staying late, confirm the last bus and boarding point for your date in the official information. If you plan to stay beyond the end of bus service, arrange your return, including a taxi or an overnight stay.
Add an activity to your walk
Allow time to walk to the venue between your bus arrival and check-in. A valid driving licence is required to drive yourself. Check accepted licence types, age limits and participation conditions on the booking page.
A staff-driven tuk-tuk option is listed for participants who will not drive. Confirm your preferred participation option and availability before booking.
Plans for another day after Chatan
When considering a sightseeing bus tour that you can join in Chatan, check the date, meeting time and meeting point. A departure described as “from Chatan” does not necessarily meet at Depot Island or Chatan Gateway.

Route 20 uses Tomari Takahashi (for Urasoe). For routes 28, 29 and 120, services via Makishi use that stop, while services via Kumoji use the stop in front of Tomarin. Routes 43 and 143 use the stop in front of Tomarin; Chatan-bound Route 43 operates only on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
For general-route buses, Mihama American Village Iriguchi and Kuwae are the main options. Routes 43 and 143 also continue to Chatan Gateway; the Chatan Liner stops at Chatan Gateway.

For a nighttime return by bus, check the last general-route service. As of the transportation-information check date, the last Chatan Liner departs Chatan Gateway at 16:30. After bus service ends, use a taxi.
