Choose a tour or arrange your own trip

For snorkeling and marine rides

If you already know which activities you want to try, a tour lets you book the boat journey and activities together. Choose a combination of snorkeling, three marine rides and parasailing.

For a day at the beach

If you mainly want to swim and relax, you can arrange your own trip on the scheduled ferry. To compare the cost with a beach-only tour, add any rentals you need, such as a beach umbrella, to the ferry fare.

Scheduled ferry fares are ¥1,730 return for adults and ¥880 for children (checked 2026-09-06). Child fare categories, ticket purchase details and sailings for your date are listed on Minna Kaiun: ferry timetables, fares and service notices.

Choose from six ways to enjoy Minna Island

Go boat snorkeling to see fish and coral, or try parasailing for a view of the sea from above. The three-ride package includes Marble, Thriller and Blast. These six options are available within the same GetYourGuide listing, with different activities and minimum times on the island.

Ferry fares and sailings
The featured options include ferry fares. Check the option details for the routes covered and how outward and return sailings are arranged before buying separate scheduled ferry tickets.

Meet near Toguchi Port in Motobu

Boats depart from Toguchi Port in Motobu. The tour meeting point is around 29-71 Tancha, Motobu; follow the map in your booking confirmation for the exact check-in location. This is separate from Tomari Port in Naha and Motobu Port, where ferries depart for Ie Island.

Meet 30 minutes before the boat departs

Allow time to park and reach the check-in point. Free parking is available; use the location specified by the operator you booked with.

  • Driving from Naha: Take the Okinawa Expressway via the Kyoda interchange toward Motobu. Add time for traffic and parking to the journey time shown on your map.
  • Driving from Onna or Nago: Your route depends on where your hotel is. Enter the meeting point in your booking confirmation into your navigation system, rather than the island's name.
  • Without a car: Take a bus to Motobu, then walk or use a taxi from the bus stop. Check for a service that reaches the morning meeting point in time and a return service after your boat arrives to narrow down the options you can join.

For driving directions, see Minna Beach: access to Toguchi Port. The check-in desk shown there belongs to a different operator, so use the check-in location for the tour you have booked.

If you are heading north from the Tomari Port area, see our transport guide to the Churaumi Aquarium area. The aquarium and Toguchi Port are separate destinations, so you will also need to plan how to reach the tour meeting point.

Your day, from the boat journey to the beach and back

  1. 01

    Check in near Toguchi Port

Have your booking confirmation ready at check-in. Confirm how to board and which return sailing you will use.

  2. 02

Take the boat to Minna Island

After the roughly 15-minute journey, ask the staff about activity times and meeting points, then get ready for the water.

  3. 03

Enjoy the beach and your booked activities

Look for fish, try marine rides or view the sea from above. Spend the day enjoying Minna Island with the activities in your chosen option.

  4. 04

Get changed and board the return boat

Return any rental equipment and leave time to eat and get changed before boarding. Travel back to your accommodation from Toguchi Port.

Depending on the option, you need at least 3, 4 or 5 hours on the island. Allow at least 5 hours for the parasailing and snorkeling combination. This differs from the listing's general '4-hour duration', so plan around the time required for your chosen option.

The standard return sailing is at 16:30. Contact the operator if you want to change it; your preferred sailing may not be available. Include the boat journey back to Okinawa's main island and your onward travel when planning the rest of your day.

For scheduled ferry timetables and cancellation notices, see Minna Kaiun: ferry timetables, fares and service notices. Your tour's sailings and meeting time will be listed in your booking information.

Travelling with children or unsure about swimming

Ask about age limits and accompanying guests

The listing's general description does not establish minimum ages or prices for guests who will not join the activities. Tell the operator your child's age and which activities you want to do. For parasailing, also provide each participant's weight.

Someone will need to stay with children who are not joining an activity while the adults take part. Childcare is not listed as part of this tour.

Can I join if I'm not a confident swimmer?

Tell the operator before booking if you are unsure about your swimming ability. Life jackets are used, but you still need to check the participation requirements and support available for each activity.

Restrictions apply, including for people who are pregnant, have consumed alcohol or feel unwell. Ask before booking if you have concerns about an existing condition or your health.

What to bring, changing facilities and lunch

Bring swimwear, a towel, a change of clothes, a bag for wet items, drinks, a hat, cash and coins. Keep your booking confirmation and the operator's contact details easy to open on your phone for check-in.

The island has showers, changing rooms, coin lockers and shops. Bring coins for the showers. Leaving large bags at your accommodation and packing just what you need for the beach makes it easier to get around.

Lunch is not included in the tour price. Bring your own or use the island's shops, and discuss meal arrangements in advance if you have food allergies.

For facility locations, see Okinawa Island Crew: Minna Island facilities. Check the signs on the island for opening hours and charges.

What happens if it rains or the boat is cancelled?

Cancelling your booking

The featured options show free cancellation up to 24 hours in advance. Follow the exact deadline and refund terms on your booking page, and cancel through GetYourGuide.

Weather-related cancellations or changes

The listing provides for refunds if the tour is cancelled or the itinerary changes substantially. Read the operator's message for details of the changes and how refunds will be handled.

The tour may still run when rain is forecast. Some activities may be cancelled even if the boat operates, so read any messages on the day. If you are unsure, contact the operator before heading to the port.

Questions before you book

Are transfers from Naha included?

The meeting point is near Toguchi Port in Motobu; transfers from Naha have not been confirmed as included. Plan your journey from your accommodation to the meeting point separately. If you do not have a car, ask the operator about possible transfers before booking.

Can I do both snorkeling and parasailing?

Option 6 combines both. Go parasailing for a view of the sea from above, and take a boat snorkeling trip to spots with fish and coral. You need at least 5 hours on the island, so choose outward and return sailings that allow enough time.

Can a child come along without joining the activities?

Ask the operator about accompanying guests and their prices. Give the child's age and the numbers of people who will and will not join the activities. Separate options may have different boat or activity times, so also ask whether your group can stay together.

Can I visit Churaumi Aquarium on the same day?

It depends on your return boat and the aquarium's last-admission time. This tour's standard return sailing is at 16:30; contact the operator to request an earlier boat. Once your return sailing is confirmed, allow time to travel from the port to the aquarium.

Once you have a date in mind

Enter your date, group size and children's ages on the booking page, then choose the option with the activities you want. Check the total price, participation requirements, outward and return sailings and cancellation terms before booking. Save the confirmation with the meeting point for use on the day.
